The Boy Who Makes Wooden Box Sing – Gerry Burnie Books

Recently Published

Here is another Canadian, historical novel by Gerry Burnie that features an entertaining look at Canadian history in story form.
This time it’s the Hudson’s Bay Company’s outpost of Fort Garry (a.k.a. “Selkirk Settlement” – now Winnipeg) on the Red River, and a young Scottish boy who – with the unseen help of Örlög, the Norse god of fortune, would follow his dream from frontier obscurity to be the toast of 19th-century Europe.
